A perfectly preserved fossil of a monstrous marine dinosaur discovered during the construction of a high speed rail line is tipped to sell for more than £500,000.<br />

The rare remains show an 8ft long ichthyosaurus - a predatory underwater reptile - painstakingly reconstructed by experts.<br />

It was perfectly preserved in soft carbonate mud for 180 million years until it was found in Lorraine, France.
