A set of Beatles signatures obtained during their infamous MBE investiture at Buckingham Palace have emerged for sale for £15,000.<br />

Surveyor and flood controller William Davies received a gong on the same day as the Fab Four in October 1965.<br />
<br />
The band were in front of him in the queue to be honoured by Queen Elizabeth II and he pulled out the envelope which contained his invite for them to sign.<br />
<br />
The Beatles later sparked controversy when John Lennon claimed they smoked cannabis in the toilets at Buckingham Palace.
