Chilling archive relating to Britain's most famous hangman has emerged for sale for £5,000.

A chilling archive relating to Britain's most famous hangman which includes execution hoods has emerged for sale for £5,000.<br />
<br />
Albert Pierrepoint performed up to 600 executions on behalf of the British government from 1932 to 1956.<br />
<br />
These included Nazi war criminals at Hamelin Prison in Lower Saxony, Germany, in the aftermath of World War Two.
