A rare Chinese bowl that was once used to keep potpourri in by its owners has sold for over £200,000.
The 13ins wide celadon-glazed bowl was brought back to Britain from China over 100 years ago and acquired by solicitor Clive Lawrence.
It was passed down to his daughter and she and her husband kept it in the middle of their sitting room coffee table.
