A metal detectorist is celebrating after a 1,000-year-old Viking relic he discovered sold for £15,000.

Construction worker Jason Jones was searching a muddy field in Norfolk on January 29 this year when he got a loud signal.
After digging down just 2ins he uncovered the 5.5ins long bronze die which was used to impart a decorative pattern on an 11th century Viking iron helmet.
