A lifeboat crew were met with the eerie sight of a ghost ship when they responded to a call of a vessel drifting out at sea.
The rusting 25ft long craft had no signs of life on board and nobody at at the helm when it was found 24 miles south of Swanage.
It is thought the dated vessel had broken away from its moorings at a port in France and had been drifting for some time.
