Major Frank Foley was an undercover spy at the British Embassy passport office in Berlin after the Nazis took power in 1933.

He hid Jews in his home at risk of death and bent immigration rules to issue thousands of visas to get them out of the country.
They would otherwise have been murdered during the Holocaust, which claimed six million lives between 1942 and 1945.
