An incredibly life-like wood carving of Mahatma Gandhi has emerged for sale for £12,000.
The sandalwood sculpture depicts the Indian independence leader in his loincloth and carrying a shawl.
The Gandhi figure is almost 4ft tall, and together with the plinth the artwork measures an overall 7ft. It was created in the first half of the 20th century as he peacefully campaigned for native rule.
