The former Sunday School in the bucolic village of Slad immortalised by author Laurie Lee is now a divine home on the market for £600,000.

The Old Sunday School in Slad, Glos, was attended by the author in his childhood and is mentioned in his famous autobiographical book Cider With Rosie (1959), about his life growing up in the Cotswold village.

The house sits in an elevated position with beautiful views across the Slad Valley, the bucolic landscape made famous by Lee's book.
The building dates back to 1911 and served as the village Sunday School for the Holy Trinity Church right up until 2001, after which it was converted into a home.
