The efforts of a conservationist to reintroduce extinct species on his farm have been rewarded with a financial boost to help release wildcats in 2024.
Derek Gow, 57, has turned his farm into a safari park to breed creatures that existed thousands of years ago.
He currently has five mating pairs of wildcats on his farm which were given to him to breed by the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland.
The plan is to reintroduce the Scottish wildcats into secret locations throughout the Devon countryside next year.
