An artist has created a stunning installation of 1,000 stained glass flowers to mark the 30th anniversary of a hospice.
Ellie Drake-Lee of Glass Garden Art has spent three months fashioning the intricate pieces to raise money for Forest Holme Hospice in Poole, Dorset.
Each flower had to be hand cut from a sheet of glass, have the edges smoothed, copper foiled, soldered and finished with a hard-wearing black patina before a final polish.
Ellie, who also works part-time as a special needs teacher, realised she would be working all hours to get all thousand flowers done in time and called on her community for help.
