Doris Feake meeting a Tortoise
From a cheeky raccoon to a flying barn owl, two animal lovers are bringing exotic critters into retirement homes to brighten up residents' day and help spark childhood memories.
The Creature Teachers is a two-woman team who take their interesting collection to the homes, where elderly residents can interact with the animals, touching and holding them.
Lisa Kiely, 32, and Tilewa Ojo, 33, are the women behind the business. The pair are both from a zoo background and met while they were working at Blackpool Zoo - Lisa in the education department and Tilewa as head of the bird display section.
They visited Avon Cliff care home in Bournemouth, Dorset, where they had a packed lounge of residents eager to make new animal friends.
