A pair of John Lennon trademark round wire-rimmed glasses owned and worn by him are tipped to sell for £70,000

The so-called granny glasses became closely associated with the Beatle during his career.

He gave the pair spectacles now up for auction to someone who worked on a photoshoot with him.
