The orphaned peregrines mother who may have been poisoned at Clee Hill, Shropshire.

An orphaned peregrine falcon chick whose parents were deliberately poisoned has been tagged as it prepares to leave its adopted nest.

The young bird was rescued from its nest by experts after its parents were found dead on the ground.

It was placed into a nest with another chick of similar age in the tower of Salisbury Cathedral, Wilts, and reared by its adopted mother.

Phil Shelldrake, of the RSPB, has ringed the chick so they can monitor it in the future before it flies the nest.
