The death plaque of the youngest ever recipient of the Distinguished Conduct Medal has emerged for sale for £12,500.

Jack Auguste Pouchet, aged 15, immediately enlisted to fight the Germans when war broke out in 1914.

He lied about his age and joined the 1st battalion of the Queen's Westminster Rifles.
