A bronze horse estimated at £5,000.

A remarkable collection of giant bronze animals has emerged for auction and is tipped to sell for £40,000.

The menagerie of exotic animals includes a 7ft tall giraffe, a 9ft long elephant and a 1,800lb stag.

Also included in the collection are a lion, a cheetah, a panther, a rhinoceros, a hippopotamus, a crocodile, a deer, a wild boar, a horse and various bronze birds.

They were consigned by a vendor in Berkshire who collected the bronze animals with her late husband over the course of 20 years.
