Otterburn castle.
Fit for a King...
A grand castle that was the scene of a bloody battle between the English and the Scots more than 600 years ago is now on the market for £1.4million.
Grade II listed Otterburn Castle, which sits in 32 acres of grounds in Northumberland, was not built until 440 years after the Battle of Otterburn but one of the rooms has five painted panels depicting it.
The historic property is currently run as a successful country house hotel, but could easily be turned back into a grand private home with planning permission for a change of use.
