Rare telegraph messages that document the most famous naval engagement of the Second World War are being sold by the family of the signalman who received them.
The messages were received by Harold Key who manned the radio room on HMS Cossack during the chase for the Bismarck.
The pride of Hitler's fleet was pursued by British ships after it had sunk the HMS Hood with the loss of 1,415 crew on May 24, 1941.
The devastating attack by the feared battleship prompted Prime Minister Winston Churchill to issue the famous order 'Sink the Bismarck'.
