A cottage immortalised in the famous Hovis TV advert featuring a young boy struggling to push his bike up a steep cobbled street is up for sale.<br />

The bungalow at Gold Hill, Shaftesbury, Dorset, was the home of 'Old Ma Peggotty' in the ad - the last house on the bakery boy's round.<br />

The 1973 commercial, directed by Ridley Scott, was voted Britain's all-time favourite TV advert in 2006.<br />

In it the lad is heard to say that delivering bread to the house on top of the hill 't'was like taking bread to the top of the world.'
