A team of touch rugby players have set a new Guinness World Record for the longest continuous game of 34 hours.

The Sandbaggers, a group of rugby mad medics, decided to take on the marathon game to raise money for Motor Neurone Disease charities after one of their own was diagnosed with the illness.

Father-of-three Andrew Vaughton, 44, got the devastating diagnosis during the team's 2021 season.
They have raised over £70,000 and beat the previous record of 33 hours and 33 minutes.
