Brave kitten Petal has been born with a rare condition radial hypoplasia that means she has no bones after the elbow joint in her front legs so she has to sit on back on her hind legs like a squirrel, earning herself the cute nickname 'Squitten'. The five-month-old cat tries to scamper along like other felines but has no choice but to slouch forward onto her crooked limbs. The condition is believed to be the result of a group of unneutered cats being kept inside a house which led to severe inbreeding. Petal has now been adopted from Yorkshire Cat Rescue in Keighley, West Yorks, by Kerry Bowler, 36, who has another cat, Honey, with a similar condition.
