Beatles fan tickled by Ken Dodd find...

An extremely rare recording of a Beatles song that was saved from the tip after it fell out of a Ken Dodd record sleeve has sold for £6,000.

The original demo version of the White Album track 'Happiness is a Warm Gun' was unwittingly bought in a box of old records at a boot fair 40 years ago by the late Harry Plant.

He didn't realise the 7ins acetate demo recording, that differs significantly to the final version used on the 1968 album, was in the box.
