VHS cassette tapes for Hollywood blockbusters from the 1970s and '80s have sold for almost £500,000 as they have become the latest auction craze.

Of the 250 sealed and unopened video tapes, a first issue copy of Back To The Future that belonged to the film's actor Tom Wilson, who played bully Biff Tannen, fetched £60,000 alone.

Wilson's tape for Back to the Future II sold for £12,000.
