A boat building academy is running a women only course to encourage females to learn the historic craft in the male-dominated industry.<br />
<br />
Since it was founded in 1997 the Boat Building Academy in Lyme Regis, Dorset, only eight per cent of its 600 students on its boat building courses were women.<br />
<br />
And there is no woman among their current 25 person intake.
