Patient wildlife photographer Andy Swinden waited a week and took 2,500 photos before he captured this remarkable close-up snap of a badger feasting on nuts.
After spending days trying to get up close to the skittish nocturnal creatures Andy hid a wide-angled camera next to a pile of rocks which he laid snacks on.
The 46-year-old retreated to a hide 30ft away and used a remote trigger to activate the camera.
The result was a stunning, intimate image of a badger bearing its teeth and looking straight into the camera that was just four inches from its nose.
