A remarkable full size replica of the HMS Endeavour has emerged for auction and is tipped to sell for £120,000.

The HM Bark Endeavour is the spitting image of the legendary vessel upon which Captain James Cook discovered the east coast of Australia in 1770 during an epic three year voyage.

It is one of only two full size replicas of the famous ship in the world - the other is at the National Maritime Museum in Sydney Harbour.

The HM Bark Endeavour was built 15 years ago at a cost of £2.5million and has been moored at Stockton-on-Tees on the North East coast of England where the great explorer spent his childhood.
