Huge Thresher shark caught of the Isle of Wight...<br />

A fearless angler reeled in a record-breaking 350lb monster Thresher shark in the same British waters where great white shark sightings sparked terror a few weeks ago.<br />
<br />
Wayne Comden, of Havant, Hampshire, caught the 15ft long Thresher three miles south of the Isle of Wight after a titanic struggle on Saturday during which he was injured by the predator's fin.<br />
<br />
The Thresher was reeled in next to the 17ft boat aptly named the Thresher - which was barely longer than the predator - so that a picture could be taken before it was released safe and well.<br />
<br />
At the end of last month, a great white shark was sighted repeatedly in the vicinity the nearby Hayling Island, Hampshire.
