A rowing team which will attempt to set a world record when it takes part in a 3,000mile cross-Atlantic challenge later this year experienced a false start when they had to be rescued just off the south coast of England.<br />

The four person crew was picked up by a lifeboat crew after getting into difficulties two miles south of Lulworth Cove in Lulworth, Dorset.<br />
<br />
The strong winds and tide meant they were struggling to make headway and called for the lifeboat which towed their 30ft rowing boat back to the harbour.<br />
<br />
On December 12, the Heads Together and Row crew will take part in the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge, an unsupported 3000 mile rowing race from San Sebastian in the Canary Islands to English Harbour in Antigua.
