Almost £2,000 has been raised to help a family whose historic thatched cottage home has been destroyed by a huge blaze.

The family of four watched helplessly as the top half of the idyllic, Grade II listed property went up in flames.
The £900,000 cottage is in the village of Pamphill, near Wimborne, Dorset, and is part of the National Trust-owned Kingston Lacy estate.
