This is the dramatic moment a James Bond-style jet man splashes down in the sea after his equipment caught ablaze during an air show.

Dr Angelo Grubisic had just launched himself from the pier in Bournemouth Dorset, when one of the small jet engines strapped to his body failed.

Pictures show flames shooting out of a turbine engine attached to his right arm as he flew at a height of 20ft.

The daredevil jet pack plot instinctively pulled his arm away from the rest of his equipment which sent him into a spin.
