This tiny shot of dark liquid is set to send shudders through the lucrative drinks trade - because it's the world's first espresso made from tea.

Although it looks like a regular shot of coffee the revolutionary brew is actually made from finely ground Rooibos, a plant that only grows in a tiny corner of South Africa.

It is made by forcing water through Rooibos grounds at high pressure creating a drink that looks like an espresso but without the side effects of coffee.

The wonder drink, called Red Espresso in a nod to the distinctive colour the Rooibos gives it, is caffeine-free and is said to have five times the antioxidants of green tea.
Red Espresso costs £4.49 for a 250g pouch and can be bought online from Cream Supplies.
