A fabulous collection of microcars collected over 50 years by a husband and wife has sold for £300,000.<br />

The 47 dinky motors were amassed by Edwin and Jean Hammond who displayed them in a museum at their home.<br />
<br />
The quirky collection started in the 1970s when the couple's teenage son Andrew wanted a motorbike. Edwin bought him a three wheeled Heinkel Bubblecar instead as he thought that would be safer.
