Pictured: Jean Hammond and son Andrew, pictured with the 1957 Heinkel car which started the collection, visited the museum on Sunday (23/10/22) to say goodbye to the cars.
A fabulous collection of microcars collected over 50 years by a husband and wife has sold for £300,000.
The 47 dinky motors were amassed by Edwin and Jean Hammond who displayed them in a museum at their home.
The quirky collection started in the 1970s when the couple's teenage son Andrew wanted a motorbike. Edwin bought him a three wheeled Heinkel Bubblecar instead as he thought that would be safer.
