A rare Ecomobile designed by a madcap inventor that left Jeremy Clarkson speechless has sold for over £11,000.
The 1995 Peraves Super Turbo was 12ft long, 4ft wide and essentially an enclosed motorcycle, but the driver had to put down its stabilisers every time the machine came to rest.
Only 89 of the bizarre contraptions were ever made before the concept was scrapped, but not before it was tested on Jeremy Clarkson's Motorworld in 1996.
