Floral tributes at the peclican crossing in Wareham where the tragedy happened.
A lorry driver who sarcastically clapped a motorist moments before he knocked down and killed a young boy on a pedestrian crossing was today cleared of causing death by dangerous driving.
Dean Phoenix admitted he made a mistake by failing to see a red light at the crossing to allow three-year-old Jaiden Mangan and his family walk across.
Phoenix, 44, pulled away without seeing them and collided with Jaiden, who suffered fatal chest and abdominal injuries.
A court heard that the Phoenix had been distracted at the time because he was 'sarcastically clapping' another motorist just as he drove off.
