The Hasselblad camera and interchangable film back.
One small step for man, one giant leap for photography...
The camera used to take the first proper photographs of Earth from space has emerged for sale for £65,000.
The Hasselblad camera was carried into orbit twice by American astronaut Wally Schirra during the Mercury space flights of the early sixties.
He and fellow astronaut Gordon Cooper used it to take dozens of ground-breaking photographs looking back down on Earth from the window of the spacecraft - the first time it had been done to such a high quality.
It will be sold by RR Auction in Boston, Massachusetts, on November 13.
