The barn after the conversion.
These stark before and after pictures show the remarkable transformation of a dilapidated barn into a luxurious home worth £1.25million.
The ramshackle 16th century structure on a derelict farm was in a state of near ruin before developer Mark Parmenter undertook the colossal project - his first ever barn conversion.
Mr Parmenter, 60, immediately identified the magnificent 400-year-old beams as the centrepiece of his project.
Despite the decrepit exterior, which pictures show to have been rusty and crumbling, he was pleasantly surprised to find the inside in remarkably good condition.
The property is now on the market with Strutt & Parker.
