From the far reaches of the British Empire - Remarkable previously unseen photos of a forgotten military campaign has come to light 100 years later.
The little known Waziristan campaign of 1919 and 1920 saw the British and Indian forces engaged in fierce fighting against Afghan tribesman who invaded northern India.
However, the conflict, which saw the use of the might of the RAF in targeted bombing raids, has become almost lost to history since it took place just after the Great War.
The battleground was the rugged, remote, mountainous region which is modern day northern Pakistan, on the southern border of Afghanistan.
