Medal set from daring RAF raid on Gestapo HQ for sale.

The gallantry medals of one of the RAF's greatest low-level pilots who led an audacious bombing raid on an evil Gestapo HQ as German collaborators paraded outside it are tipped to sell for £35,000.

Wing Commander George Parry MBE piloted one of four Mosquito bombers on the little-known attack on the notorious Nazi building in Oslo, Norway, in 1942.

The attack was ordered after reports of Allied prisoners being abused and tortured inside, so much so that some jumped out of windows to their death rather than be interrogated.

The RAF planes flew at just 100ft above the North Sea so they wouldn't be detected by the Luftwaffe before carrying out the pin-point raid at roof-top height.
The Distinguished Service Order and Distinguished Flying Cross with Bar medals will be sold by Bosleys Auctioneers of Marlow, Bucks, on November 4.
