A remarkable single-owner collection of 220 rare 17th century British coins has sold for £563,000.
The collection, which dates from 1625 to 1660 and features Charles I, Oliver Cromwell and Commonwealth coins, was amassed over 40 years by German antiques dealer Micheal Gietzelt.
He developed a fascination for British coins after his mother gifted him some worn Victorian pennies.
