The front of the Aromafork pack.

A revolutionary fork has been invented that adds a new flavour of its own to every mouthful eaten from it.

As the bizarre gadget is used it emits different smells which are thought to mix with the taste of the food on the fork.

There are 21 different varieties of odour, which are chocolate, coffee, vanilla, banana, lychee, passionfruit, strawberry basil, cilantro, and mint.

Additionally, there are also almond, coconut, peanut, cinnamon, ginger, jalapeno, wasabi,
butter, olive oil, smoke, and truffle.

The creators behind the contraption, dubbed the Aromafork, believe that it could be a novel way for people to experiment with different flavours.

The Aromafork has been launched by a food gadget company called Molecule-R based in Montreal, Canada and costs £36.
