Edison's lightbulb moment...
Annotated design drawings by inventor Thomas Edison for the lightbulb have emerged for sale for £90,000.
They were made by the workaholic while he was on honeymoon with his second wife Mina Miller in Florida in 1886.
Edison was determined to refine the design of the first electric lamp which he introduced to the world seven years earlier.
In total, there are seven pages of pencil drawings revealing several electric lightbulb designs. Others show electric lamp circuits, a horseshoe electromagnet and a cylinder made up of individual tubes with connecting wires. The drawings, which carry Edison's initials 'TAE', are going under the hammer with auctioneers Christie's London.
