A pair of Michael Jordan's match-worn trainers which were specially modified for his broken foot have emerged for sale for £750,000. ($1m)

The basketball legend wore the size 13 Nike Air Jordan 1's when the Chicago Bulls played the Milwaukee Bucks on April 1, 1986.

The then 23 year old came off the bench to score 28 points in 26 minutes but could not inspire his side to victory.
The shoes were altered to cater for his healing foot, with standard soles replaced by a softer, wider base.
