Public spirited Rob Nunn has pleaded with thieves to stop stealing road signs he voluntarily repairs for his home town.

Rob Nunn, 70, began repairing the signs in Swanage, Dorset, around seven years ago because the local council couldn't afford to maintain them.

The retired drayman has repainted more than 100 vintage metal signs and bollards around the seaside resort.
