A sailor has completed his challenge to sail around every island in England and Wales in a tiny boat the same length as two bathtubs.

Ken Fowler finished his epic 1,200 mile challenge when he circumnavigated the Isle of Wight, having already ticked off more than 250 other islands to raise money for charity.

The 57 year old retired air traffic controller is the first ever person to sail a single handed dinghy around all the islands of the two countries,
Arriving at his home port of Mudeford, in Christchurch, Dorset, having set off 12 hours earlier, Mr Fowler was met by crowds of cheering supporters as he completed the 70 mile final leg of his monumental quest.
