Pictured: A vintage AA motorcycle is lifted through the museum window, the only way for bikes to be taken into the exhibition space.

Staff at Haynes Motor Museum have been 'wheelie' busy moving motorbikes for a major new exhibition.

One of the quirkier models on display is a bright yellow 1960 BSA M21 motorcycle that was used by the AA.

The vehicle recovery company had more than 2,000 in their fleet in the 1960s and the motorbikes had side cars equipped with a radio, tools, spare parts and fuel.

Life on Two Wheels: The British Motorcycling Story will tell the story of British motorcycling from its origins to the modern day.

The innovative displays will allow close-up access to dozens of historically significant bikes and looks at everything from the science of how motorcycles work to the specialised protective clothing.
