For sale - former home of the 'richest heiress in Britain'.
Victorian philanthropist Angela Burdett-Coutts purchased the 16th century 'Ingleden Park' after inheriting the £1.8million fortune of her grandfather Thomas Coutts, of the Royal banker Coutts&Co in 1837.
Charles Dickens the Duke of Wellington and Florence Nightingale were just a few of the famous guests who visited the country seat in Kent during the 19th century.
Upon receipt of the money and a 50% share in the bank Coutts dedicated her life to charity, giving away an astonishing £4million (£450million today), over the course of her lifetime.
Ingleden Park is being sold through estate agents Strutt & Parker.
