Ship shape and Bristol fashion - WW1 Monitor M33 opens to the public today in Portsmouth after a £2.4 million conservation project to preserve the last remaining ship that fought at Gallipoli in 1915.<br />

First on board was Lesley Wills from Glastonbury, whose grandfather Richard Chapple served on the ship at Gallipoli, where she became known as the 'lucky ship' after miraculously losing no men during the calamitous battle.<br />
<br />
Neatly positioned in her dry dock between HMS Victory ahead and the modern Type 45 Destroyer HMS Daring astern the heroic old ship will start receiving visitor's from today.
