A British family are preparing to fly to China for a custody battle over two young children after their British father was murdered by their Chinese mother.
Michael Simpson, 34, originally from Wimborne, Dorset, was knifed in the neck and back by his Chinese ex-wife Fu Wei-wei in a violent domestic row at his apartment in Shanghai.
His estranged wife was jailed for life in July this year and the couple's two children Jack, eight, and Alice, six, have been with their mother's family since Mr Simpson died in March 2017.
Mr Simpson's parents, Ian and Linda, and his brother Andrew have been fighting to get custody of the children but say the Fu family are trying to force them to pay £63,000 for the children.
