The final resting place of a lost hero of Dunkirk has finally been found more than 80 years later.
Major Piers Edgcumbe, the son of the Earl of Mount Edgcumbe, has been missing ever since he and a colleague were killed during the German Blitzkrieg in May 1940.
As 400,000 Allied soldiers retreated towards the beaches of Dunkirk, the aristocratic officer and Lance Corporal Leonard Webber formed part of a forward reconnaissance unit.
