A classic Ford Thunderbird car owned by late Clash frontman Joe Strummer has emerged for sale for a mystery sum.
The rock legend bought the plush motor in 1987, splashing out just 4,200 dollars for it when he moved to the USA in the wake of the band's break-up.
A huge fan of American cars, Strummer - the genius behind The Clash's biggest hits such as Rock the Casbah, London Calling and Should I Stay of Should I Go - drove the 1963 Thunderbird right up until his untimely death in 2002.
Following Strummer's sudden death aged 50 from undiagnosed heart problems the car was passed to his publicist.
The car, which has done 420 miles on its current engine, is now being sold on eBay by the California car dealers Beverly Hills Car Club.
